The Kalroosa and Chaiwan localities in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district have erupted over the killing of local Militants on Thursday.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that hundreds of youth shouting Pro Freedom and Pro Militancy Slogans hit the Kupwara streets condemning the killing of Militants.
The troops deployed in the area did not allow the youth to march ahead, responding to which the youth threw stones on Government Forces.
The troops fired tear smoke shells to disperse the youth, however the clashes were going on when this report was filed.
Two Militants identified as Bilal Ahmed Shah and Zahoor Ahmed Mir had been killed in a gunfight in Kupwara earlier in the day.
