The Residents of Iqbalpora Khretti in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district have accused the Public transport operators of overcharging fares from the passengers, similar overcharging has been reported from various routes in district Anantnag.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat, “Fares have already been fixed for various types of public transport vehicles plying on various routes across the district. The drivers overcharge fare rates on their own will and refuse to follow Government orders”.
The residents have appealed to RTO Anantnag as well as Deputy Commissioner Anantnag to take strict action against the erring drivers and fix the rates for the route through proper publication.
