Parents of those who recovered also participated in the session.
Narcotics Anonymous is an international initiative that has helped people across communities globally stay in remission from drug addiction. Under this program, participants already recovered from substance abuse gather in groups and interact with others under-recovery to stay clean from drugs.
They discuss all aspects of Substance Abuse and how to help each other understand better the genesis and prevention of this menace.
The meeting was attended, facilitated, and addressed by Director of YDRC, Dr. Muzaffar Khan, clinical psychologists, counsellors and philanthropists.
These structured meetings will be held every Saturday at YDRC-Eidgah. Gradually, the program will be extended to other districts of the UT to ensure maximum participation and help the recovered youth stay well and in abstinence.
Healthy Minds also provides free counseling services at its clinic at Rambagh Srinagar.
