Lebanon’s Hezbollah Says It Fired Rockets into Israel in Response to Rocket Attacks Yesterday

On Friday, Lebanon’s Hezbollah has said that it fired rockets into Israel from Southern Lebanon after Israeli warplanes targeted areas allied to the group in response to previous rocket attacks, a day earlier.

As per QNN, the Israeli forces have said that the Siren warnings of incoming rocket fire were signalled in southern Israel and the occupied Golan Heights.

As per the Daily Star in Lebanon, a Lebanese security official also confirmed that rockets had been fired from southern Lebanon.

A video footage showed that about 10 rockets were intercepted by the Israeli Iron Dome system after they were launched toward open areas near Israeli military sites.

Meanwhile, the Israeli media has said that the Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has been informed of the incident. And that he will hold an emergency security meeting with the defence minister and the chief of staff.

No injuries were reported, and the Israeli forces have said that the details were under examination.
