
The Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir has asked the medical officers to limit the number of the attendants accompanying patients in the hospitals of the Kashmir valley.
In an Order, the Directorate has said that in order to put a check on the inflow of attendants and visitors in all health Institutions (Government /Private Clinical Establishment) which is becoming the source of spread of infection especially COVID-19, in order to prevent spread of infections, it is impressed upon all Chief Medical Officers, Medical Superintendents, Block Medical Officers, incharge of Private hospitals & Clinical Establishments to limit the number of attendants to maximum one accompanying per patient and no visitors should be allowed.
The Directorate of health services has advised the incharge of Government hospitals/private hospitals/Nursing homes and Clinical Establishment to nominate one Nodal officer for ensuring adherence to COVID-19 appropriate behaviour (CAB) and above instructions in letter & spirit.
The list of the Nodal Officers shall be submitted to this office within one day positively including Private hospitals/Nursing homes and Clinical Establishment, the order further read.
