Two siblings and their mother were killed while as four others including an army major and a soldier were injured as India and Pakistan troops continued shelling at Salootri in Krishna Ghati area of Poonch district of Jammu Kashmir.
Incharge Police Post Jhullas, Sub-Inspector Rasheed Kasana told GNS that two siblings– Mohammad Faizan (5), and Shabnum Kounsar (9) and their mother Rubeena Kounsar (22) wife of son of Mohd Younis died on the spot and two other persons suffered injuries when a mortar shell fired by Pakistani army hit their house at Salotri village.
The officer identified the deceased as Mohammad Faizan (5), Shabnum Kounsar (9) and their mother Rubeena Kounsar (22) wife of son of Mohd Younis. The officer the injured as Mohd Younis and Parvaiz Akthar.
