Locals appreciate reforms initiated by Medical Superintendent at District Hospital Kulgam

Local residents of Kulgam district have expressed their appreciation for the remarkable improvements being carried out under the leadership of the Medical Superintendent at District Hospital Kulgam.

People, including patients and their attendants, lauded the initiatives taken by the hospital administration,  such as the establishment of a Helpdesk for patient assistance, improved sitting arrangements, and overall enhancement of hospital infrastructure.

They particularly praised the Medical Superintendent for personally visiting every ward of the hospital to ensure that patients receive proper treatment and care.

While speaking to The Kashmiriyat, the Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Kulgam Dr Syed Masood said that, following the directions of the Hon’ble Health Minister, efforts are being made to develop the hospital as per the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS).

“We are working diligently to strengthen the health infrastructure and continuously monitor the facilities available at the hospital, which functions round the clock to serve patients,” the Medical Superintendent said.

He further added that the main focus is on reducing patient referral rates. “We have a team of experienced doctors, and our aim is to provide them with the necessary logistical support so that referrals to other hospitals are minimized,” he stated.

Residents hailed the dedication and proactive approach of the Medical Superintendent, describing the ongoing changes as a positive step towards improving healthcare delivery in Kulgam district.
