Locals Block Achabal-Anantnag Road over Unavailability of Drinking Water

The residents of Thajiwara areas of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district staged a protest against the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department over the issue of non-availability of drinking water in the villages.

The villagers speaking to The Kashmiriyat demanded clean drinking water for their survival as the villages are not equipped with water facilities.

Groups of men and women, who were part of the protest, assembled on the Achabal-Anantnag road for several hours, as a result, Achabal-Anantnag road was blocked.

The protestors also raised slogans against the PHE.
