The District Magistrate Srinagar, Dr. Shahid Chowdhary in an order issued on 4.08.2020, has lifted restrictions on markets and public transport in Srinagar allowing regulated resumption.
This decision comes after careful consideration and deliberations.
The order permits the reopening of 50% of shops and boarding of 50% of passengers in public transport.
Market associations will prepare a roster so that alternate shops will open to prevent crowding.
The District Magistrate said that he has full faith in the business and trading communities to follow the guidelines and SOPs.
