The Locals in Cheerkot area of Lolab in North Kashmir’s Kupwara District have accused the Government Forces of vandalization in the locality during nocturnal raids.
Locals from the area told The Kashmiriyat that forces barged into several houses in this Lolab area and smashed the window panes and the doors of the houses.
“People normally think, house (shelter) is a safe space, but we Kashmiris are not safe even in our houses, Forces enter our houses and do whatever they want,” a Cheerkot resident told The Kashmiriyat.
They said that forces also abused men and women and before they left they had caused a huge damage to civilian property.
An Official refuted the claims and said that the forces do not conduct such ‘uncivil’ behavior.
