Police on Thursday recovered a dead body from Power Canal at Thune area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal Police sources said.
A Police official told The Kashmiriyat that locals saw a dead body that was floating in Power Canal at Thune area of Kangan under the jurisdiction of Police station Kangan.
He said soon after receiving the information police team from P/S Kangan reached the spot and fished out the body from Power Canal with the help of locals
The deceased has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Bijard Son of Dilpazer Bijard, a resident of Harganiwan Kangan.
SHO Police Station Kangan Turk Zahoor said that the body has been taken to the hospital for medico-legal formalities.
