
A man was arrested Monday on the charges of stabbing his mother-in-law in the Srinagar district of Central Kashmir.
Official sources said that the Jammu Kashmir Police arrested one Jasir Ahmad Gada of Batmaloo for allegedly stabbing his mother-in-law in Rambagh area of Srinagar.
The mother-in-law was critically wounded in the attack, after which she was rushed to the Shri Maharaja Hari Singh hospital in Srinagar, they said,
The Police have registered a case under relevant sections of law including attempt to murder in Sadar Police station, Srinagar.
The condition of the woman is stated to be critical at the hospital.
