Man Critically Wounded in Bear Attack in Handwara

A man was critically wounded after a bear attacked him in Handwara area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday morning.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the man identified as Mohammed Qasim Dar, a resident of Manzpora area in Handwara’s Qalamabad sustained grievous injuries when he was attacked by a wild bear.

They said that he had gone to his orchards to work when the incident took place.

After he raised an alarm, farmers working in the nearby fields rushed to the spot and rescued him.

However, Dar was injured in this attack and immediately rushed to the nearby hospital where the doctors referred him to Handwara Sub-District hospital for further treatment.
