Man from Kulgam Dies, Coronavirus Death Toll In Jammu Kashmir Reaches 24

The death toll due to Coronavirus in Jammu Kashmir has rose to 24 with the death of a man from Kulgam district of the Kashmir valley.

Officials informed The Kashmiriyat that a man from the Khaloora area in Kulgam, was referred to a Srinagar hospital from GMC Islamabad (anantnag) yesterday, he breathed his last around 5:45 a.m. today.

The sampling of the patient was done around 6:30 p.m. on Monday and it came out to be positive at 9:08 p.m on the same da, he passed away this morning.

He has been identified as Ghulam Nabi Malik.

So far Srinagar district has highest number of the fatalities at 6 followed, Baramulla and Kulgam with four deaths each while Budgam, Jammu have two each and one death each has been reported from Bandipora and Udhampur.

“The patient suffering from pneumonia with complaints of fever and breathlessness,” Hospital officials said.
