In yet another incident of barbarism, a man was killed during a fight between two families in the Ganderbal district of central Kashmir.
Am official told The Kashmiriyat that on Sunday afternoon, a quarrel erupted between two families over a land dispute in Bonzil Haripora in Ganderbal during which a man was hurt with an iron rod on his head.
“Initially, it was merely a verbal dispute and during this brawl, one man in a fit of anger picked up an iron rod and hit Ghulam Mohammed Sheikh on his head,” a local resident said.
He said that the 65 year old man, a retired Government employee, a resident of Haripora in Kangan Ganderbal was shifted to the nearby hospital.
Ghulam Mohammed was shifted to PHC Wusen, where doctors declared him brought dead.
“We do not know what happened, everyone is so angry in Kashmir. Everyone is losing their tolerance. During this dispute which could have easily ended in one minute of patient listening, it is strange that a place like Kashmir is losing tolerance” said the local resident.
