One person died after a rock hit him at Zojila tunnel in Ganderbal district on Friday afternoon.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that a person named Jahangeer Wani, son of Abdul Gani Wani, a resident of Banihal aged 35 was hit by rock at Zojila tunnel, injuring him critically.
The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Kangan from where he was referred to SKIMS for further treatment.
“He succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital,” officials said.
