A young woman was found hanging at the Chatabal area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday morning.
A hospital official confirmed the incident to The Kashmiriyat saying, “A woman (name withheld) was brought to the hospital early on Wednesday. Upon examination, the woman aged 24-25, was found dead.”
He said that the woman will be handed over to her family for her last rites.
Meanwhile, Locals said that the 25-year-old woman who is a resident of Doda had been married to a man in Devsar for not more than two months.
A Police official said that a case has been registered under the section 174 of CrPC. “Further investigation has been launched into the incident,” he said.
