
The Government Forces on Thursday afternoon launched Cordon and Search operation (CASO) in Drubgam area of Pulwama in South Kashmir.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a search operation has been launched jointly by forces including 44 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF in Pulwama’s Drubgam area
All the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed on Thursday afternoon.
They said that Militants had earlier fired on a party of 44 Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army who were moving through the area.
Nobody has been injured in the attack, as per initial reports.
Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched as an Anti Militancy operation on May 2, 2017 amid a rise in the local recruitment into Militant groups in the Kashmir valley.
The Forces jointly conduct search operations in a specific area, locking down the area virtually and frisk houses on will.
