Scores of Srinagar locals demanding the body of 12 year old boy, Basim Ahmed are marching towards the Srinagar’s Eid Gah- where the body of Basim is being allegedly kept.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that thousands of people gathered at Jamia Masjid of Srinagar to demand the body of Basim, a class 7th student who succumbed a day after being injured during the encounter in Srinagar on Tuesday.
He was injured at the encounter site on late Tuesday when a house collapsed, 15 houses overall were damaged at the site of the encounter.
Bazim is class 7th students and was undergoing treatment at SMHS hospital here succumbed to his injuries.
Pertinently, some people on late Tuesday evening visited the encounter site at Nawa Kadal where two militants including a top Hizb militant Junaid Sehrai were killed.
The house there got collapsed suddenly, leaving four persons wounded.
The Government of India has been pressing for disallowing militant and civilian funerals, killed at the hands of Government Forces, as the funerals attracted large crowds.
These crowds invited world attention and the media in particular, gave a healthy coverage to the funerals of the Militants in specific.
The bodies of several militants have been buried secretly without any mass funeral om graveyards in Central and North Kashmir without the participation of their families at times, the Forces disallowed these funerals when the pandemic spread in this Himalayan region.
Sources said that in Srinagar, massive demonstrations are taking place to demand the body of local boy, clashes also have bern reported from several areas as forces tried to stop the youth marching towards Eid Gah.
Mobile Internet which is already reduced to a low speed has been suspended in this Central Kashmir district.
