A Snow avalanche has hit Ladakh’s Khardung La mountain pass in Jammu Kashmir on Friday.
As per reports, ten people are trapped, as their vehicle came under the snow avalanche. A rescue operation is underway to rescue the trapped.

Khardung La pass which is is 5,359 m (17,582 ft) high is gateway to the Shyok and Nubra valleys.
The pass is strategically important as it is used to carry supplies to the Indian armed forces at the Siachen Glacier.
