Mehbooba Mufti detained in Delhi during anti-eviction drive protest

The president of the People’s Democratic Party staged a protest in New Delhi on Tuesday against the ongoing eviction drive in Jammu Kashmir.

A large contingent of Delhi Police reached the site and detained Mehbooba Mufti along with her supporters, who were in Delhi to protest against the ongoing eviction drive in Jammu Kashmir, that admin says has been launched to remove “encroachers” from state land.

The drive is going on in pursuance of the orders of the admin to free state land across the Jammu Kashmir region, a move that has triggered widespread anger across the region.

Earlier, the People’s Democratic party staged a protest in Srinagar calling the admin to rollback the order.
