Amid a low voter turnout, as the polling closed for the District Islamabad (Anantnag) on Tuesday, the chief of People’s Democratic party and the former Chief Minister of Jammu Kashmir, Ms Mehbooba Mufti expressed gratitude to the workers of PDP.
In a tweet, Mehbooba Mufti wrote, “Kissi nay kasar naheen chori humay mitaane may Khuda khud muhafiz raha humara har zamanay main I’d like to thank all the PDP foot soldiers & voters who voted inspite all odds & reposed their trust in me once again.”
Mehbooba Mufti thanked her supporters in particular and people in General for reposing their trust in People’s Democratic party- The workers of PDP are the backbone of the organization, she said.
Ms Mufti cast her voted at around 12 Noon in the Bijbehara assembly segment, which witnessed a very low turnout of 2 percent, a large numbers of voters her also greeted Ms Mufti and sang raised slogans in favour of her.
