For the first time, this season, the night temperatues in Kashmir capital, Srinagar dipped below zero degrees and settling down at minus 0.9 degree Celsius during the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.
The Famous hill station in South Kashmir’s Anantnag Pahalgam, was the coldest place in Kashmir valley with the minimum temperature of minus 2.7 degrees Celsius.
The temperatures recorded at others places of the Kashmir valley were Qazigund|-0.6°C, Kupwara|-1.7°C, Kokernag|+3.6°C, Gulmarg|+0.8°C, Konibal|-2.5°C, Srinagar Airport|+1.1°C, Awantipora|-1.2°C, Anantnag|-2.3°C, Bandipora|-1.1°C, Haripora Haran|-1.5°C, Malangpora|-1.4°C, Shopian|-2.8°C, Kulgam Agro|+1.1°C,.
The Jammu province also witnessed a drop in tempearturesw with Jammu at +11.3°C, Banihal|+4.4°C, Batote|+7.6°C, Katra|+12.4°C, Jammu Airport|+13.4°C, Udhampur|+5.8°C

In Chenab Valley, the temperatures witnessed a drop too. Baderwah recorded +3.4°C, Kishtwar|+8.0°C.
In Kashmir valley, the famous ski-resort of Gulmarg registered the temperature at minus 0.8 degree Celsius, 0.2 degree lesser own from the previous night.
Drass in the Ladakh region was the coldest recorded place in the Ladakh Union Territory with the mercury settling at a low of minus 8.0 degrees Celsius.
