One Militant has been killed in the ongoing gunfight in the Bemina area of Srinagar on Friday night.
The Militant has been identified as Tanzeel, a resident of Habba Kadal area of Srinagar.
The Insepctor General of Jammu Kashmir Police said that Tanzeel was involved in killing of a police officer PSI Arshid Ahmad near Khaniyar and owned allegiance to TRF militant outfit.
The gunfight had started between militants and joint team of police and CRPF in Bemina area of Srinagar district on Friday evening.
As the joint team of forces encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
