The four militants killed in a gunfight in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday have been identified.
As per reports the slain militants all belonging to militant outfit Hizb-ul-Mujahideen have been identified as Mehraj ud Din, son of Abdul Ahad Najar, a resident of Drawani; Abid Nazir Chopan, son of Nazir Ahmed Chopan, a resident of Padderpora and Anam ul haq, son of Mubarak Hussain, a resident of Motiju in south Kahsmir and Basarat Ahmad Neegro, son of Abdul Rashid Negroo, a resident of Chotigam in Shopian.

The slain were killed in a gunfight with government forces in the early hours on Tuesday. An army para-commando was also killed in the gunfight while three forces personnel were injured.
