Two militants were killed in an encounter that raged between Militants and Government Forces in Brath Kalan village of north Kashmir’s Sopore on Wednesday night.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the slain have been identified as Tahir Dar from Sadipora and owais Bhat from GundBrath Sopore, one affiliated with Lashkar e Taiba and another with Tehreek ul Mujahideen.

A senior police official however said that the duo were affiliated to Lashkar e Taiba.
The operation had been earlier halted due to darkness and was resumed early morning.
Meanwhile Classwork in all educational institutions across Sopore Sub division has been suspended today as a precautionary measure.
