Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Ghat area of Redwani South Kashmir’s Kulgam District.
Early a morning on Saturday, the forces including 1 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Redwani area.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Kulgam locality and are conducting a search operation in the area.
Youth in large numbers hit the streets as soon as troops launched a joint operation, Shouting Pro Independence and Pro Militancy slogans, the youth hit the streets throwing stones on Government Forces.
The troops fired tear smoke shells to disperse the protesting, locals told The Kashmiriyat.
