Militants Reportedly Escaped Srinagar Encounter

A gun-battle broke out between government forces and militants in Noorbagh area of Srinagar district early morning on Thursday.

Officials told The Kashmiriyat that a joint team of Army’s Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF cordoned Noorbagh locality of Srinagar after Militants opened fire upon Forces in Srinagar’s Safa Kadal area.

“The Hiding Militants Opened fire upon the troops,” he said.

Meanwhile, authorities have suspended the Internet services in Srinagar, Islamabad (Anantnag) and Budgam.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the holed up Militants have escaped from the site of the gunfight, however searches are still being conducted in Nowpora area.
