A minor girl was allegedly raped after being kidnapped by a man in the Srinagar district of central Kashmir.
Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that a man identified as Sajad Ali Sofi, a resident of Gulshanbagh in Srinagar’s Lal Bazar allegedly abducted a minor girl from his locality and raped her.
The parents of the minor girl lodged an FIR against the accused after which Jammu Kashmir Police have taken the accused into custody.
A Police spokesman said that in this regards FIR no 53/2022 has been registered under sections 376 of IPC and sections 3/4 of POCSO Act at Lal Bazar PS.
