Minor girl allegedly raped in Srinagar, Accused arrested

A minor girl was allegedly raped in the Maloora area of Srinagar after which Jammu Kashmir Police arrested the accused.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a minor girl (name with held) was raped by a man in his 30s identified as Aijaz Ahmed Sheikh, a resident of Khunmoh area in Srinagar, four days ago.

Aijaz had been absconding since he committed the crime.

The Jammu Kashmir Police on Friday arrested Aijaz and registered a case against him under the relevant section of Indian Penal code and POSCO act.
