A minor girl died after she slipped into a irrigation canal in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district Wednesday afternoon.
Officials said that 3 year old girl identified as Seerat Bashir daughter of Bashir Ahmad Dar a resident of Lal Mohallah village of Satrina Kangan while playing near a canal slipped into it.
They said the body of the little girl was fished out and immediately rushed to Sub District Hospital Kangan were the doctors declared her brought dead on arrival.
After the legal formalities the body has been handed over the family for last rites.
