A man from Arunachal Pradesh, identified as Kangge Perme, was located in Budgam, Kashmir, and safely returned home by police.
Perme had been missing since July 23, when his father reported his disappearance to the Mebo police station in East Siang.
According to the East Siang SP, Perme last contacted his family on July 13, informing them that he was in Delhi seeking employment.
The police began their investigation by analyzing ATM transactions and call detail records, but efforts to trace Perme’s phone were unsuccessful as it was switched off.
His last recorded ATM transaction was at a booth near New Delhi railway station. Despite questioning his friends and checking contacts from his call records, no leads emerged regarding his location.
On August 17, Perme contacted his family using an unknown number, stating he was in Kashmir but unable to provide his exact whereabouts.
The Budgam police were alerted, and a team was dispatched to retrieve Perme.
He was subsequently brought back to Arunachal Pradesh and reunited with his father.
