
Earlier this week, a family from Kulgam’s Turigam area appealed to their son who had gone missing to return home.
The family of Suhail Ahmed son of Gulzar Ahmed Ganie intensified their efforts to trace their son and get him back home but to no avail.
An encounter raged in Handwara between militants and government in Nechama, Rajwar area of Handwara in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district in the intervening night of 11-12 March.
The Police said that as the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight- one militant was killed during the exchange of gunfire.
The Police identified the slain militant was identified as 20-year-old Suhail, who had gone missing three days ago.
As per locals who spoke to The Kashmiriyat, Suhail had gone missing on 08 March from his home in Turigam. His family had filed a missing report in P.S Behibagh on 10 March.
