
DCPO hail DO Mirbazar for timely action in the matter: Urges people to inform DCPO, ICPS, and Kulgam regarding children in need of care and protection.
The Child Protection Officer, Institutional Care District Kulgam received a call from police post-Mirbazar regarding the trafficking of children case.
Upon receiving the call the Child Protection Officer along with an outreach reach worker reached the spot and received one child of age 13 years (Name withheld) resident of Bangladesh who was trafficked from Bangladesh to Kashmir a month before and was left at Awantipora Pulwama.
The Incharge police post informed CPO, ICPS Kulgam for immediate necessary action in the matter.
Accordingly, the child was received by team ICPS Kulgam and was kept in Bait ul Hilal Chawalgam, Kulgam till the time his family was traced under the proper procedure.
The whole exercise took place under the proper supervision of District Child Protection Officer Kulgam, Snobar Altaf, DCPO Kulgam. The DCPO Kulgam thanked DO Mirbazar for timely action in the matter and requested the general public to inform DCPO, ICPS, and Kulgam regarding children in need of care and protection on the following number 7889354824-9622296000-7006571377.
