Missing since last week, ‘Hizb militant’ arrested in south Kashmir

A week after he went missing, the Jammu Kashmir Police arrested Danish Mohiuddin, a resident of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

As per a police statement, on Thursday, joint forces including Indian Army’s 42 Rashtriya Rifles, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF arrested a man at Chandrigam check-point and during the search, one Pistol along with a pistol magazine was recovered from him.

The arrested person was identified as Danish Mohiuddin Ganai of Dadsara Awantipora.

On October 03, The Kashmiriyat reported that Two more youth have gone missing from their homes in the south Kashmir districts of Pulwama and Shopian.

Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, the family of Danish Mohuiddin son Ghulam Mohiuddin Ganie, a resident of Dadsara in Tral belt of south Kashmir’s Pulwama has gone missing from his home since Thursday (29 September, 2022).

Police said that during questioning, Danish confessed that he works for the militant outfit Hizb and was active since last week.

An FIR (221/22) has been registered at police station Awantipora and investigation taken up, police said.
