The body of a 17-year-old youth who was missing for the last several days has been recovered from river Jhelum on Sunday.
An official said that the body was recovered by a joint team of SDRF, Revenue and Jammu Kashmir Police in Jhelum near the Bijbehara area of Anantnag.
He was identified as Bakir, son of Bashir Ahmad Wani resident of Gadiseer Bijbehara.
Earlier, The Kashmiriyat reported that Bakir Bashir, a resident of Gadisera Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district has been missing from his home since May 25.
Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, a family member of the 17-year-old youth said that he left his home on Thursday after from home, after which he did not return home.
