The Election Commission of India (ECI) has lifted the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) in Jammu Kashmir and Haryana, effective immediately.
This decision follows the official declaration of results for the recent Legislative Assembly elections in both regions.
The MCC, which is enforced from the announcement of the election schedule until the completion of the electoral process, is no longer applicable now that the Returning Officers have declared the results.
The ECI has instructed all relevant parties to be informed of this development.
The conclusion of the MCC marks the end of the electoral process and the resumption of regular political activities in both Jammu Kashmir and Haryana.
