The Jammu Kashmir Police on Monday said that it busted the module involved in the killing of a Sarpanch in Kulgam.
On 11 March (Friday), suspected militants fired at a Sarpanch, Shabir Ahmad Mir, in Kulgam district’s Audoora area.
Mir was rushed to a nearby hospital but did not survive the bullet injuries.
The Police said that it has busted a militant module of proscribed militant outfit HM involved in the recent killing of Sarpanch Shabir Ahmad Mir & arrested three militant associates actively involved in the killing.
They said that Police recovered incriminating materials including 02 Pistols on their disclosure.
“Vehicles used in the commission of crime have also been seized. During investigation, it was learnt that the Sarpanch was killed by HM militant Mushtaq Yatoo on the directions of HM Chief militant Farooq Nalli,” IGP Kashmir said.
