Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairman, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai has been booked under PSA.
He was arrested today by police at around 5:30 in the morning, from his Barzulla residence.
Sehrai succeded Syed Ali Shah Geelani as the chairman of Tehreek-I-Hurriyat.
Sehrai’s son Junaid Sehrai, a divisional commander of Hizbul Mujahideen, was killed in an encounter in May this year.
A dozen other members of the Jamaat-e-Islami have also been taken into custody.
