More than 50 Boys from Quimoh Belt are in Jails- Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir

The Chairman of Ummat e Islami and Mirwaiz of South Kashmir, Qazi Ahmed Yasir today visited Walerhama area in Pahalgam and led a pro Freedom rally there after addressing a mammoth gathering at the grand mosque of the area. He later visited Yaned Pahalgam and paid glorious tributes to Arif Ahmed, who was martyred in Kiloora encounter at Shopian.

Mirwaiz South Kashmir, Qazi Ahmed Yasir today visited walerhama Pahalgam to address people on the occasion of Friday prayers. Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir commenting on 35 A, said that it is shameful to see that the self claimed democratic citizens of a self claimed democracy are putting forward their dictate to Kashmiri people living in Kashmir. “regrettably from their comfortable rest zones, In Delhi and other Indian states, some politicians and their workers are deciding the future of Kashmiris and their land,” Mirwaiz Yasir said. He said it is shameful that Kashmiris, as per them have no say to decide their future.

Addressing people on the occasion of Friday prayers, Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir said that the world should wake up to the genuine plight of Kashmir where a steady genocide is being conducted against innocent people. He said that the condition of Human rights in Kashmir is deteriorating with every passing hour as the causalities on the third generation of Kashmiris continues to escalate.

The Chairman of Ummat e Islami expressed anguish over the continued night raids and arrests throughout South Kashmir. He said that more than 50 youth from Quimoh belt of Kulgam are incarcerated in various jails which a question mark on the modus operandi of courts, the local police and a larger question mark stands on the notion of ‘working for peace.’ He said that the families of slain as well as active Militants are being constantly harassed. He said that the brother of a slain Militant Shakoor Ahmed Dar from Sopat area of Kulgam named Abrar has been kept incarcerated for almost a year despite suffering from Renal cancer. He said that young people are being kept in jail for long time, which is also a factor for growing Militancy.

He said that youth are being implicated on false charges and kept under prolonged detention, pushing them to the wall. Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir asked the International Human Rights Bodies including UNCHR and Amnesty to intervene into the inhumane and barbarous detention of many prisoners.

Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir also visited the homes of slain Youth in the area and led a massive Pro Freedom rally from walerhama to Yaned Pahalgam, the native of Arif Ahmed, the slain youth killed in Kiloora encounter at Shopian.
