Mudasir, the Teenage Boy Likely Killed in Srinagar Encounter

A 14-year-old militant Mudasir Rashid Parray killed in Mujgund area of Srinagar on Sunday.

Official sources identified the slain as Mudasir Rashid Parray son of Abdul Rashid Parray a resident of Mir Mohalla in Hajin town of Bandipora while the identities of the other two slain militants are still being ascertained.

Mudasir Rashid, 15, son of Abdul Rashid Parray, a resident of Hajin in Bandipora went missing from his home on August 31, his photo carrying an AK 47 rifle appeared over the internet.

Mudasir is student of 9th grade and two siblings at home, a brother and a sister.

The family had lodged a missing report in the Police Station Hajin, however he could not be found.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the encounter erupted when Militants holed up in a residential house opened fire upon forces who were conducting a search operation after receiving inputs bout Militant movement in the area.

As per initial reports one of the Militant is a from Hajin, one from Pulwama in South Kashmir and the last one if a Pakistani militant, all affiliates of Lahskar e Taiba.

Six residential houses have been razed to the ground, Locals informed The Kashmiriyat while The troops are conducting search operations in the area.
