Mughal road, connecting the twin districts of Poonch and Rajouri with Shopian, reopened after remaining closed for 12 hours due to a stone slide at Shakargah.
Official sources told GNS that the historic thoroughfare reopened for traffic a short while ago.
DySP Traffic Rajouri Poonch Range Aftab Bukhari confirmed it to GNS.
Meanwhile, authorities said that traffic was plying on the Jammu-Srinagar highway, the only surface link connecting Kashmir Valley with the outside world. SSG Road was through for the traffic, they added. (GNS)
