The Muttahida Ulama Ahle Sunnat has appealed to the government to release renowned cleric Maulana Abdul Rashid Dawoodi and others from detention.
In a statement to news agency Kashmir News Trust Muttahida Ulama Ahle Sunnat Jammu Kashmir has said that those clerics who have been languishing in jails should be released as they always stood for the prosperity, peace and order in Jammu Kashmir.
The statement said that the religious and social activities of these incarcerated clerics are in accordance with the legal framework.
They pitched for the release of all clerics, especially Maulana Abdul Rashid Dawoodi. _[KNT]
