National Conference to Boycott Panchayat, Municipal Polls in Jammu Kashmir

The President of National Conference Farooq Abdullah has on Wednesday announced that National Conference will not participate in the forthcoming Panchayat/Muncipal polls in the Kashmir valley.

Sources within NC informed The Kashmiriyat that the decision has been taken in view of the ongoing threats to special status of Jammu Kashmir.

He  said that NC will boycott the polls till Govt of India makes stand clear on Article 35A and wants Government of India to resolve the issue outside the court.
