National Conference Women Wing Stages Protest, Demand Release Of Kashmir Students

As the women members of National conference tried to take out peaceful protest march from their office, in Srinagar. Police came and foiled their attempt. ” Don’t close the gates of our office, let us allow to hit the streets against this ongoing injustice in Kashmir, ” Shouted the Women members of National conference.?

Scores of women members of Jammu Kashmir National Conference staged protest against the detention of Kashmiri students in Agra here on Monday.

Carrying placards which read ” Withdraw FIR’s, Save Future of Medical Students, ” The protest march was led by women wing president of National conference Shameema Firdous.

After the India Pakistan T20 world Cup match, the politics of Jammu and Kashmir has literally changed, as there are demands from mainstream media and ruling party Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Members that harshest punishment should be given to those who celebrated Pakistan’s win over India.

However, there are demands from Kashmir that Sports should be separate from politics and FIR’s should be withdrawn from students.

The protesting women members of National conference said that they will continue to hit the roads till the FIRS are withdrawn.

President of Women wing National Conference, Shameema Firdous, told The Kashmiriyat that for what GMC students of Kashmir were booked, it is just sports, and sports should be away from politics.
” Don’t close the gates of our office, allow us to register a protest against this injustice. Is this development to book GMC students for what they are claiming? ” She said.

Adding that After the abrogation of Article 370, they are oppressing everyone, even political prisoners were shifted to outside jails, we will continue to raise our voices against injustice.
