The Peoples Conference president Sajad Lone on Thursday hit out at the Manoj Sinha led admin and questioned the new land lease laws in Jammu Kashmir stating that the new land policy is not at par with the rest of the country.
“It (land policy) may well start the dark chapter of now blatantly othering the Kashmiris. Lease rules across the world and in India are fairly simple and on similar lines. But these are different and not without motives,” Sajad Lone said, in a tweet.
Recently the Jammu Kashmir administration framed the new Land Lease Law 2022 under which leaseholders of commercial properties were asked to hand over properties to the admin with the latter providing compensation for the structures built on the property by the former.
