
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted searches in parts of Kashmir on Saturday in the case of terror funding by Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir, an unlawful association under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
Reliable sources told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that the agency sleuths are carrying out these raids in the Southern region of Kashmir and also in Srinagar.
Sources said the raids are underway in close coordination with the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).
Jamaat-e-Islami has been found carrying out terror funding activities in Jammu Kashmir, even after being declared an unlawful association under the UA (P) Act on February 28, 2019. (KS)
