NIA Raids Six Locations in Jammu Kashmir and Punjab

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has conducted raids at six locations in Jammu Kashmir and Punjab.

As per reports, the raids are being conducted in Narcotics and arms-related cases. Earlier on Wednesday, the Income Tax Department raided six places including the Kunjwani-Narwal bypass Bathindi, Baig Construction Company (BCC) Private Limited in Malik Market, The residence of the owner, his office and the warehouse of the company were raided.

Many documents related to the company’s transactions were scrutinized as the company was accused by the income tax sleuths of concealing income.

The Departmental teams raided about half a dozen locations of the company along with police and CRPF personnel on Wednesday morning.

Income tax officials have said that the income of the company is in crores of rupees, but for the last several years, the tax is not being paid according to the actual income.

Documents related to the company’s transactions are being closely scrutinized.
