BJP’s fresh Chief Minister in Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav issued a directive on Wednesday, prohibiting the use of loudspeakers at religious sites “beyond permitted” noise levels.

Earlier in the day, Mohan Yadav, a BJP MLA from Ujjain South, took the oath of office as Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. Administered by Governor Mangubhai Patel at Bhopal’s Lal Parade Ground, the 58-year-old leader swiftly announced measures against the open sale of meat and eggs.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav disclosed plans for a campaign, involving the food department, police, and local urban bodies, to enforce a ban on the open sale of meat and fish from December 15 to 31.

In a further announcement, the Madhya Pradesh government, under BJP’s leadership, expressed its readiness to welcome devotees traveling to Ayodhya for the consecration of the Ram temple, scheduled for January 22, 2024.
