No Militant Body Recovered- At least Three Militants Broke Cordon and Escaped from Kulgam

A group of Militants opened fire upon a party of Government Forces in Yaripora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district when they had jointly launched a search operation in the area to kill Militants.

An official said that there was an initial contact, however the Militants managed to escape from the spot, during the searches, the stone throwing made it almost impossible to find the Militants.

Meanwhile a Police official speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that a brief exchange of fire took place, however he said they were ascertaining the details.

Sources informed The Kashmiriyat that a group of three to four Militants was cornered by 34 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and 18 BN of CRPF in the Kujar area of Yaripora in Kulgam  district of South Kashmir.

However the Militants fired indiscriminately at the troops and managed to escape from the spot, Also three troopers sustained injuries.

The Militants were at least three in number, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.

As soon as gunshots rang in the area, Locals from nearby areas including Redwani, Hawoora, Mishpora, Frisal and other areas marched towards Yaripora in huge numbers and intense clashes began.

The search operation at the encounter site continued for nearly six hours, but no dead body has been recovered, An official told The Kashmiriyat.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Rameez Ahmed, a Cousin of Slain Hizb Commander Alltaf Kaczroo was trapped at the site of the encounter.
